About.

Oldest son of Akio, Isamu is third generation servant to the household of Natsu's family, a status his father prides himself of. They do not drift about between homes, or live week to week as day-wage men, they are employed. Isamu himself has his own thoughts about their situation, but cleverly keeps them to himself, focusing on working hard and diligently. Eventually, this approach will pay off. When the family's eldest daughter decides she wants to travel around the country in imitation of her teacher, the great poet Basho, the only way her father can allow it is by paying his most trusted servant, Isamu, two years' wage ahead and make him go with her for protection. Under harsh instruction and clear threat not to touch her or let anything happen to her whatsoever. Isamu swears his life to it - as well as the life of his family, with whom he leaves half the money and sincere promises to return unharmed.

Like so, Isamu is to embark on the grandest adventure of his life.
